“The Highwaymen”

I’m extremely jaded about movies right now. Until last night, it’d been awhile since I’d seen one that truly impressed me.

“The Highwaymen,” a Netflix original film, is the best new movie I’ve seen in at least ten years. The pacing, the dialogue, the acting and the cinematography are all on point.

I love a good period film, and this one really did it for me. Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson have great chemistry together as a couple of grizzled old Texas rangers who come out of retirement to hunt down Bonnie and Clyde.

Trust me, if you’re like me, and you prefer a good grownup movie to all of the plot-free CGI crapfests leaking out of Hollywood’s anus these days, you won’t be disappointed.

  1. I almost watched this the other night, but decided against it. I’ll give it a watch, on your recommendation.

Have you seen Hell or High Water? I watched it about a month ago and would say it’s one of the best movies I have seen in a while.

  2. Yeah, it’s a really solid watch. Woody Harrelson really Woody Harrelsons it up, but it works for this movie. Kevin Costner really Costners it up, too, and it’s a good combination.
